The Power of Vision boards

and Masterminds
With the new year comes new goals. We talk about the power of the mastermind, the monthly LadyDrinks goal setting calls, vision boards

As the new year kicks off, I’m sharing a new LadyDrinks resource that I have been beta testing for the last year: monthly goal setting calls for registered members. Napoleon Hill, author of ““Think and Grow Rich” famously called it a mastermind.
Hill described the Mastermind principle as, “The coordination of knowledge and effort between two or more people who work towards a definite purpose in a spirit of harmony…no two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind.”
The Mastermind concept was inspired by Hill’s many conversations with the highly successful businessman, Andrew Carnegie, who attributed his entire fortune and success to his Mastermind group.
The next LadyDrinks goal setting call for members is 4pm January 3rd.
I’m also creating a vision board of my goals for 2020 and planning to share that with my book club. The purpose of a vision board is to realize everything on it: relationships, career and finances, home, travel, personal growth
While there is initial intention and energy spent in making the board and placing it in a spot I see every day, the real key is the **consistency** in visualizing everything as if it already is.
I thought about my values. Read below to see what I came up with with a view to inspire you to write yours.
MY VISION BOARD GOALS

JAN 21 NEW YORK
I’m finally doing it.

The most common question I get asked by women is “How can I be a better public speaker?”  It’s usually paired with (like you) I’ve done one on one coaching with women. But come January, I’m formalizing it a bit by offering a 6 week masterclass on the subject.

I’ve cut my teeth as a business anchor reporting from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. I had a series of screens around on the trading floor that informed me where the Dow, Nasdaq, oil and gold stood and a series of bullet points scratched on a piece of paper about the stocks I needed to talk about. I had to fashion all of this into a 2 or 3 minute cogent and compelling story for the airwaves, with usually with a commercial break to put it together. This experience has trained me to work fast and design a class to give you immediate results.

If you are in a leadership role at a company or a founder, you need vision. But more than that, you need influence. Influence to get investors. Influence to get clients. Influence to hire great employees.
As part of our leadership programming series in 2020, LadyDrinks hosts this compelling workshop with Gino Perrotte, Founder and Strategist, Right Brain Journeys on the “Art of Influence,” and the six principles of persuasion.
Because I’m after creating unique and wonderful networking experiences, we are hosting this in the private board room of the new Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Meatpacking. I chose a brand synonymous with ‘influence’ and I doubt anyone would argue with the influence Starbucks has on us today. Afterwards, we get a private tour of the Roastery and some special gifts!

I WANT TO BE AN INFLUENTIAL PERSON
